Two-Factor authentication, or 2FA for short, is a great way to enhance the security of your MetaMask Developer account and Infura keys. This way, you can ensure that only you have access to your sensitive details.

Set up two-factor authentication

First of all, make sure you're logged into your MetaMask Developer account.

  1. Click the "Settings" button at the bottom of the sidebar, and click "Account."

Locate account settings

  1. Scroll down the page until you find the '2-Factor Authentication' section.

2FA settings

QR code for configuring authenticator app

  1. Grab your mobile device and open your favorite authenticator app. If you're unsure which to install, Google Authenticator is a good way to get started.

  2. Scan the provided QR code with your 2FA app. Your authenticator app will start to generate codes, which you can enter in the "Enter your token" field to complete enabling 2FA on your account.

Congrats! You've just greatly enhanced the security of your MetaMask Developer account and Infura keys. Any time you want to log in to your MetaMask Developer account, you'll now have to enter a newly generated code from your 2FA app.
